Job Description

Micro1 is hiring experienced Technical Writing Specialists for a writing-intensive project focused on developer and product documentation while helping train next-generation AI systems.

The role involves analyzing complex technical information and creating, reviewing, and refining clear documentation for both technical and non-technical audiences.

No prior AI experience is required - professional technical writing and documentation expertise is the primary requirement.

What You'll Do

Analyze technical materials such as API references, developer guides, and release notes.

Create and edit developer guides, tutorials, architecture documentation, and other technical content.

Translate complex technical concepts into clear and concise documentation.

Structure documentation using information architecture best practices.

Apply style guides and editorial standards consistently.

Work with docs-as-code workflows and documentation standards.

Evaluate existing documentation for clarity, completeness, accuracy, and usability.

Recommend and implement documentation improvements.

Explain documentation decisions, trade-offs, and reasoning to stakeholders and collaborators.

Requirements

3+ years of experience producing developer or product documentation.

Strong technical writing and editing skills.

Experience producing materials such as API documentation, integration guides, tutorials, onboarding documentation, or release notes.

Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Strong information architecture skills.

Excellent written English.

Exceptional attention to grammar, terminology, structure, and detail.

Ability to synthesize complicated technical concepts into understandable documentation.

Technical Experience

Candidates should be comfortable with docs-as-code workflows, including tools and practices such as:

Markdown

Git

CI/CD

Documentation style guides such as Microsoft, Google, or organization-specific standards

Preferred Experience

Experience owning the structure, quality, and strategy of end-to-end documentation sets is highly valued.

A professional or academic background with leading universities or highly regarded organizations is also considered an advantage.
