Role Overview

A fast-growing UK-based marketing agency specializing in digital solutions for electrical contractors is seeking an experienced SEO Specialist. In this role, you will develop and execute tailored SEO strategies to enhance local visibility, boost website traffic, and drive qualified inbound leads for clients within trade and service-based industries.

Compensation: ZAR 18,000 - 25,000 / month

Schedule & Commitment: Part-time (25 hours/week)

Responsibilities

Develop and execute local SEO strategies tailored to service-based businesses.

Optimize and manage Google Business Profiles to boost local rankings and Map Pack visibility.

Perform keyword research focused on high-intent, location-based search terms.

Execute on-page SEO tasks, including meta tags, content optimization, internal linking, and schema markup.

Conduct technical SEO audits and implement fixes (site speed, indexing, crawlability).

Build and manage local citations and backlink strategies.

Monitor rankings, traffic, and conversions using Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and third-party SEO platforms.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: Proven experience in SEO with a strong emphasis on local search. (Experience working with trade/service-based industries like electrical, plumbing, or HVAC is highly desirable).

Local SEO Expertise: Demonstrated proficiency in Google Business Profile optimization and management.

Core SEO Skills: Solid understanding of on-page, off-page, and technical SEO principles.

Tools & Software: Proficiency with SEO platforms (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Moz, Screaming Frog) and familiarity with WordPress or similar CMS platforms.

Technical & Analytical: Strong analytical capabilities; basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and website performance optimization.

Professional Skills: Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
