Financial Systems & Accounting Expert - AI Training

Job Description

micro1 is hiring 60 Financial Systems & Accounting Experts for a project combining professional accounting expertise with AI training and evaluation.

You'll evaluate AI-generated accounting work, review financial statements and reconciliations, assess financial-system workflows, and provide expert feedback to improve next-generation AI models.

Unlike many AI training roles, previous paid experience supporting AI training through human-data work is a firm requirement for this project.

What You'll Do

Evaluate AI-generated accounting outputs for technical accuracy.

Review accounting treatments, calculations, journal entries, and explanations.

Analyze and annotate financial statements, reconciliations, and month-end close workpapers.

Identify accounting errors and provide the correct treatment with clear reasoning.

Evaluate financial-system workflows across platforms such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Xero, and Dynamics 365.

Apply written rubrics and grading guidelines to rate or rank AI-generated outputs.

Flag ambiguous cases according to project guidelines.

Develop realistic accounting scenarios and reference answers based on real-world practices.

Provide clear written feedback to support ongoing AI system improvement.

Requirements

Minimum 3 years of hands-on accounting experience in areas such as financial accounting, corporate accounting, audit, bookkeeping, financial reporting, month-end close, management/cost accounting, or FP&A involving substantive accounting work.

Experience preparing or reviewing journal entries, reconciliations, or financial statements.

Hands-on experience with financial systems such as NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, Xero, Sage Intacct, Dynamics 365, Workday, or comparable systems.

Strong Microsoft Excel proficiency is also valued.

Previous paid experience in human-data work for AI training is required, such as data annotation, data labeling, RLHF, AI response evaluation, model evaluation, or rubric-based grading.

B2-level English or higher.

Reliable internet connection.

Immediate availability.

Simply using AI-powered features inside accounting software does not satisfy the AI training experience requirement.

Nice to Have

Experience with finance tools such as BlackLine, Bill.com, Ramp, Brex, Stripe, Avalara, Anaplan, Tableau, or Power BI.

Previous verified participation in micro1 projects.

Contract & Compensation

This is a remote contractor opportunity with 60 openings.

Compensation is advertised at $90-$170 per hour.
